‘La fine di noi tutti’ is a 3D video made using photogrammetry techniques. The reliefs and scans were taken in 2021 during a visit to the Catacombs of Paris, a place where human skulls and bones have been accumulated for hundreds of years.
The video shows these skulls, realistically depicted, shedding tears of dark material from their eyes. With the title ‘La fine di noi tutti’ , the work wants to draw attention to the end that we all, sooner or later, must face.
But beyond its literal meaning, the work also wants to reflect on human decay and the slow and inexorable flow of time.
Made in 2022, ‘La fine di noi tutti’ is a work that requires the viewer to reflect carefully and deeply. With its strong emotional imprint, it invites us to reflect on our existence and our relationship with others.”
